It seems that many of you are having a little trouble linking Rollyo searchrolls to your blogs and apart from the fact that this website was built with >>trouble>> written in html there are some ways to make the most of it.
Several Extremely Convoluted Steps to Creating and Linking a Searchroll in Rollyo
Go to the url www.rollyo.com
In order to create a searchroll that others can use and can be linked to your blog you need to register with the website.
Select Register on the toolbar at the top right hand side of the page.
Fill in your details and click Register. If you have already registered select Login from the toolbar at the top right hand side of the home page and enter your username and password.
When you are logged in select Tools on the left hand side of the toolbar at the top of the page. Note that if you have not yet created a searchroll you will need to do so. This can be done by selecting Create Searchroll at the top of the page.
From the Tools result list click Share located between Import Bookmarks and RollBar on the grey taskbar across the top of the page.
A list of the searchrolls you have created should appear. In order to determine the url of your search engine click the Link button next to your desired searchroll.
Your search engine should open as above with your personalised url in the web address toolbar. Copy the url, paste it into your blog post and create a link by highlighting the web address and clicking the insert button on the editing toolbar.
A popup box should appear, asking you to enter the url of the website you wish to link. Paste in your link and click OK.
Voila!
IF YOUR SEARCHROLL DOES NOT APPEAR WHEN YOU SELECT SHARE...
You may not have checked the Make Public box when you first created the searchroll. It must be made public in order to create a link on other sites.
Select My Profile from the top right hand side of the page and click Edit an Individual Searchroll.
Scroll down and place a checkmark beside Make this searchroll public and click save changes. Then return to Tools, Share and life can only get better from there!
I know Rollyo can be frustrating at times but please persist, I think the benefits far outweigh the inconveniences.
